This is the original picture we started off with to create the magazine. We think it really draws attention to the audience as her eyes and smile could be defined as 'piercing'. |
We started off with the black hungry eye logo, and decided to edit the colour as black would not stand out enough on our magazine. On other issues they use several colours e.g Red, grey etc.
We found the green colour went well with the image as it stands out and creates an effective logo. We decided to place the logo on the bottom in the right hand corner as it does not block too much of the view of the picture.
We placed the barcode in the left hand bottom corner as we was inspired by the existing Hungry Eye magazines. We changed the barcode as the original was pixelated. £6.99 is also the retail price of an original magazine.
We used existing Hungry Eye magazines to produce the titles. We came up with a similar font as we wanted the magazine to look as realistic as possible.
We thought this space in the right hand corner was perfect as the layout flows well, with her face in the centre of the magazine.
We experimented with different effects for the image e.g changed the brightness and saturation. We found we did not like this as it appeared dull, and we want a brighter effect to attract the audience.
